Friesen Hockey was built on the belief that every serious player deserves honest guidance, real opportunity, and someone in their corner who genuinely cares. Founded by Kelly Friesen and owned by Ice Exposure Consulting Inc., our mission is to support and promote elite hockey players—especially those who’ve been overlooked or undervalued—by helping them navigate the complex world of junior and college hockey. Kelly believes in this so strongly, he put his name on it.

Kelly Friesen
President
Kelly is the founder and President of Friesen Hockey. He lives in the Saskatoon region with his wife, son and two daughters. He has been entrenched in the junior hockey scene since 2010, as he has held positions as an advisor, scout, journalist and talent analyst. He formerly held the position as a WHL/NHL draft reporter for Yahoo! Sports from 2011-2017 and for years was a trusted WHL/NHL draft analyst on numerous media outlets throughout TSN, CBC and other radio stations. In addition, he covered the 2015 NHL draft for the Bleacher Report and scouted for an NHLPA agency from 2016-2018. He now has 10+ years of experience as an advisor and has helped numerous players advance to the WHL, NCAA, CIS USport, BCHL, CJHL, USHL and NAHL.
John Caulkins
Senior Advisor
John has been involved in hockey nearly his entire life. He grew up playing at a high level, including junior, before retiring due to injuries. From there, John began working as a recruiter for a hockey agency before becoming an advisor himself. He is passionate about helping players advance to college hockey - especially in the NCAA. He wants to equip and empower his clients to receive college scholarship opportunities. He currently resides in Saskatchewan.
Chad harnett
Director of Scouting
Chad grew up playing competitive hockey in the Edmonton region before getting into scouting at a young age. In addition to that, he has worked on the marketing/management side of the game with a couple junior programs in Western Canada. He is passionate about finding players who have been overlooked or undervalued, especially those who play with a high compete level and have an edge to their game. He currently resides in the Calgary region with his wife and two kids.
Scouting Staff
Geoff Stevenson
British Columbia
Geoff has coached and scouted at the Jr. A level. He focuses on scouting CSSHL and BCEHL players pursuing the BCHL or WHL.
Jeremy Bladen
Alberta
Jeremy grew up playing competitive hockey and has scouted for multiple Jr. A organizations over the last five seasons. He spends a lot of time scouting CSSHL, AEHL and AJHL.
Dan Ukrainetz
Saskatchewan
Dan formerly worked for a couple WHL organizations and has been tracking junior, U18 and U15 hockey for over a decade. He spends a lot of time tracking players out of Saskatoon and North East Saskatchewan.
